Air quality & anxiety

We live in Washington state and the air quality has been terrible lately… my son usually only has post-illness asthma but yesterday needed rescue inhaler about 10 times. We’ve been through the recovery drill before and added some meds to help stabilize him. My breathing has been fine but I’ve noticed increased anxiety and brain fog. It’s Really bad today and eating stress French fries which won’t help matters… Hot bath n lullabies here I come.

Cbd oil

I’ve been a little 2 steps forward, 4 steps back. Some recent hormone tests showed cortisol through the roof, all other hormones tanked. I was told my stress was just too high, which seems ridiculous since I haven’t been able to work for Quite a while and my long suffering husband does his best to pick up all the loose ends. I’ve been resigned to this new normal for quite a while and feel no capacity to ‘stress’ about it. (Though family and friends say it must be stressing me. Believe me I know what stressed out feels like and my MO is more like watching the world go by but breathing in and out. Diaphragmatically whenever the notion pops to mind.) I can meditate really well due to brain fog creating a blank slate. So what gives.

After much research and little improvement, ordered second round of hormone tests but see that even if a referral to an Endicrinologist leads to an answer, it’s nearly guaranteed to not have a good result improving my state of well being.

In the past adding cbd oil could help daily functioning quite a bit but go-to brand had been out of stock for quite a while. Scored 2 bottles this weekend and started trying to recover. It took only a morning to feel 80 percent better. Going to spend the week looking to stock up on the cbd oil; also looking forward to receiving 2 new migraine protocols in the mail this month. One is a vagus nerve stimulator (price tbd but first month trial is free, yahoo) and the new migraine prevention monthly shot. Fingers Xd all around!

Mini goals

I’d hired a life coach who did not know what to do with my low functioning CFS/me mast cell self. It was super frustrating and expensive. Since discovering she was trained by Martha Beck, Google entered into the picture and many podcasts, books, PDFs have helped me start sorting out my life now that I’m feeling better.

I LOVE this blog post about using spoon theory to also notice what gives you a spoon, even if it’s a tiny espresso size.

Medical Medium celery juicing fail on EDS Fibro Cfs CVS Migraine MCAD

Well. I got through about 3 days of morning celery juicing and became more and more nauseous, migrainey. Eventually remembered to check urine Ph and I was about a 9 for at least past 48 hours. I’d already been low energy but the nausea took things really over the edge.

Last year when I started seeing my latest naturopath, we’d come across the pattern of me being very high alkaline 8.5, 9 on urine Ph strips when I felt most ill. Added thyroid meds (tests came back borderline ‘ok’) and L-Carnitine, keto diet and alkalinity became nonissue. I think when tapering off keto is when I started to feel bit crappy.

Added LDN to my daily meds/supplements which lifted fatigue but that seemed to be completely ineffective past couple weeks. I didn’t take LDN yesterday and today feel like a million bucks. Still have to pace myself but brain is fully online.

Met with ND today and plan is to add LDN back at much reduced amount. It’s completely saved me from shingles outbreaks and did get rid of fatigue when I started– so eager to find a way to make it work. Hopefully the LDN sweet spot will equal brain and body energy with boosted immune system.

For now celery juice is banned from kitchen.

EDS Medical Medium Day 2

On second day juicing celery, had a 16oz in the morning and bit more in the evening. Added parsley (supposed to add cilantro but didn’t have handy): bit easier to drink than straight celery. Also read online it’s ok to store fresh veg juice in fridge for up to 3 days if using a canning jar: fill up with liquid til there’s convex bubble of it about to run over, then slap the lid on which should keep out most O2. Messy but trying it incase I’m ever too tired to juice. Which normally would be Every Day but still feeling good. Went out with my family which is a huge deal. Just a movie and wandering through mall to half price book store: big news in my world! Also no snoozing when trying to listen to Medical Medium audiobook. Progress for sure.

I coincidentally received a strong recommendation to read the book ‘Medical Medium’ within 24 hours of realizing Ehler Danlos syndrome is likely the umbrella over all the bizarre health issues in my family. I fell asleep about 10 times listening to the book on audible but managed to hear ‘Celery Juicing’ loud and clear. Luckily I had both celery and a juicer (well. Not luckily – because I’ve tried every DANG thing under the sun) so made & drank the 16oz celery juice. Planning to continue for 30 days and log. Today also had Berberine in system. Feeling better than yesterday and I guess that’s a good start.
